1932 LeBaron V16
This convertible, LeBaron bodied, V16-powered sedan listed
for $5,950 when new. Today, this distinctive Marmon could realistically
fetch over a quarter of a million dollars! This is the single most expensive
Marmon model ever made. The creme de la creme of the Indianapolis, Indiana-made
treasure. Note the distinctive horizontal radiator slats and low roofline.
Marmon Motor Car Company, originally established
in 1902 when Howard C. Marmon built his first vehicle, built a record 29,216
vehicles in 1929. Just four years later, after producing only 86 cars in
1933, the company ceased auto manufacture. Another senseless victim of
the Great Depression.
