This particular TC is brought to this show year after year. It is such a lovely sight to see because the owner has kept up with the original papers and displays them proudly, though this year they were smartly left covered.

Built from 1945 to 1949, the TC stretched the Abingdon factory production output as 10,000 TCs rolled off the line. This model totaled one-third of MGs entire production history, giving them approximatley 30,600 vehicles manufactured. The TC was MGs first post-war model, and was exactly the same as the last pre-war MG, the TB, except for the size, as it is four inches wider. TC motivation came from the same 1,250cc in-line four that powered the pre-war TB. The carryover engine produced 54.4bhp at 5,200rpm. This engine was used from 1939 to 1954 in models TB, TC, TD, TF, YA, and YB.
