Duesenberg Automobile and Motors Corporation was formed in 1921 by Fred S. and Augie Duesenberg. In 1903, Fred's Iowa bicycle business failed, but, by 1913 he had designed and raced his first car, the Mason. He was now in business with Augie with the Duesenberg Motor Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. Here they built auto and marine engines and began the creation of one of America's greatest automobile lines.
