The Hupp Motor Car Company showed it's first car for sale at the Detroit Automobile Show in early 1909 and sold their last automobiles in 1941. Founded in Detroit by Robert Craig Hupp, his first automobile was the advanced 17 bhp Model 20.

The fat years of Hupp began in 1922 ,when production was nearly triple that of the year prior (13,626 to34,168). Their peak production year was in 1928, when nearly 66,000 Hupmobiles were manufactured and sold.

In 1932, a Hupmobile Comet, driven by Russell Snowberger, finished fifth in the Indianapolis 500. This impressive showing did not gain customers eyes and sales continued to decline. Quickly.

This four passenger coupe is a 1933 Eight 322, powered by a 96 bhp 8 cylinder.
