1963 Imperial Limosine with Ghia Body
The Ghia badges indicating the Italian body maker probably penned this unique looker. The rear windscreen is oval and is surrounded by the vinyl top. Not pristine, this Imperial was burning oil as we followed it into the park. I have been informed by Mr. Robert Whitman and Mr. Don Pierson that Imperial was known as the manufacturer of these automobiles, and not Chrysler, as I had previously indicated. The Imperial badge was used from 1955 to 1975. Only 13 copies of the 1963 model were built and carried a retail price of $18,500. For more interesting facts and photos follow the links below:
