1956 to 1961 Metropolitan 1500
You might also know this car as an Austin or a Hudson, the Metropolitain was created by Bill Mason, the former Nash president. He believed this would make a nice American car and became the second largest importer into the States, behind Volkswagen. This example is thought to be a '59 or later model as drop-tops were first offered in the States in '59. This cute little runabouts came standard with a radio, heater and a three-speed tranny. The power came from a 1500cc, OHV, straight four. Production figures were just under 105,000.
