1932 Studebaker President Series 91 Convertible
"The largest vehicle builders in the world" was the Studebaker brothers slogan in 1872. "Studebaker! The worlds largest in 1872?" you ask. Yes! The worlds largest wagon producer as the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company. Automobile production reluctantly began in 1902 in South Bend, Indiana. The brothers were persuaded in 1902 by a son-in-law to get on with auto production and go beyond just building bodies for electric car makers. Studebaker had already built horseless prototypes in 1897.

This stunning 1932 President Series 91 Convertible was assembled from November 1931 to December 1932. A total of 2,399 copies were made. The retail cost for a President Convertible was $1,750. Today's asking price for a mint like this would be in the $60,000 range. A respectable sum for a good-looker like this with an inline eight with 337cid, 122bhp and two Stromberg carbs. Options visible on this example are front and rear bumpers, tire mounted rear view mirror, dual side-mount spares, chrome-plated wire wheels, and trunk rack (foldable).
