1911 Pope Hartford Model W
Recognizable as a Pope-Hartford by the bell-shaped grill with a convex bottom. Pope-Hartford is another of the American
automobile companies that produced bicycles prior to automobiles. The Pope Manufacturing Company automobile business,
located in Hartford, Connecticut, lasted only from 1904 to 1914 and went into receivership three times. Their reputation as a solidly
built car is said to have helped them last financially as long as they did. Annual production never exceeded 726 vehicles.
1911 production saw 693 vehicles produced.
