Andy Wallace was driving the #5 Panoz when the Speedway went to a full-course yellow
because of a wreck on the back portion of the track. When Wallace slowed to obey the yellow
he was rearended by fellow Brit and friend, James Weaver in a Dyson Ford. Both cars were repaired
and sent back out, though, neither made it to the finish.

In the Driver's Meeting prior to the start of pre-grid, Weaver was overheard telling Wallace
that he was going to the front at the green flag. Wallace responded by saying that he was
going to be right behind him and for Weaver not to hold him up.
